So this is my first PC and I have the Asus rog strix 1080 ti overclocked version and it’s performing way under what it should be. I get 45 frames per second in battlefield 1 with all ultra settings on a 1440p monitor, that’s terrible. I have turned off vsync and I have the newest nvidia GeForce experience drivers, so what’s wrong here?

I don’t think I have a cpu bottleneck, my processor is the intel core i7 7800x which is very good last I checked. My cpu normally runs at 40 degrees Celsius and my gpu runs at 68 Celsius under load.

Full specs if they might help:

Asus ROG STRIX 1080 TI
Asus ROG STRIX X299-E Motherboard
Intel Code i7-7800x
32 Tb ddr4 g.skill trident rgb ram
6 NZXT AER RGB Fans
Kraken X62 CPU cooler
EVGA 1000w G2 power supply
Samsung 960 EVO M.2 1 Tb ssd

As you can see these are the top of the line parts so the performance really baffles me, please help, I have no idea what’s going on here!

Solution
Download MSI afterburner and check all the status while gaming. Check if all cores are working when playing and if your windows is recognizing all RAM.
Also check if PSU is working properly.

Since your PC isn't overheating, from the info you just said, I believe that your RAM or CPU isn't working properly and being a limiting factor to the GPU (bottlenecking) but to be sure you need to check if the clocks are normal, and check the CPU, GPU and RAM usage while gaming, you can see all of that in MSI afterburner, do it and come back here

In PC UserBenchmark my pc is showing up as 134% in gaming and my cpu is operating above average since it is overclocked, my ram is shown to be operating as expected too. I don’t think that the issue is in hardware, nonetheless I will try with msi afterburner and let you know my results
