Is a SSD+HHD(Hybrid Hard Drive) a good idea?

I'm a first time builder and when deciding for the memory i thought an 250GB SSD(for Win and apps) + 2TB HHD(for all the rest of the stuff) would be a decent combo since SSD and Hybrid are very fast Storage drives. Is this combo a good idea or should I use a SSD and invest more money on an more bigger capacity HDD? Thanks for reading my question. :)

Where is the "hybrid" part of your setup? The easiest and most common thing to do is what you described. But if you have a capable intel board you can install everything to the 2TB drive. Then have Intel use 64GB of the SSD as a cache. You can install the most important apps/games to the remainder of the SSD. That would be a hybrid setup.

This hybrid setup has it's pros and cons. Windows Boot will be just as fast. The most used games and apps will also load very quickly. But if you switch constantly between different games the benefits will disappear.

Some comments on Hybrid HDD (SSHD):
HDD+SSD (SSHD) hybrid is only a workaround for laptops which do not have enough place for appropriate dedicated SSD and HDD.
If you are building a PC, I would recommend simply going for full SSD and full HDD.
OS, programs and games, which need lots of loading time, go to the SSD while the data and games, which have less loading time, go to this HDD.
Hybrid HDD+SSD unit (SSHD) is not as fast as the normal SSD and too expensive compared to HDD.

Note: do not mistake SSD + HDD setup with SSHD.

My selected SSHD is a Seagate - FireCuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Hybrid Internal Hard Drive. Ok I see now now if the benefits dissapear if i change constatly programs/games then my sshd would slow down guess the best solution is to go SSD+Hdd
