Lag after Default Clocking (After OverClocking)

I have a ASUS ROG GL552VW with nVidia GTX 960M. I tried to overclock my graphics card to a limit but unfortunately, when I opened GTA V, after some time of loading, the windows crashed with the modern blue screen of death (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/ab/BSOD_Windows_8.png) with error saying something about Video... The laptop restarted and the graphics card default clocked on its own as was to be. Since then, I am suffering from lags even in those games which used to work smoothly earlier (especially while driving). I tried resetting the windows but had no luck. Please Help... The lags are sometimes intolerable

Tried that... Didn't work... Did I damage my card? :(

I had reset the system after default clocking (so the software was removed automatically) which improved the lag a lot but not to that extent

I would doubt you have damaged anything but when you overclock something it has to underclocks other parts of your system in the bios and you would have to reset it as it should be quite often the memory timings which make a lot of difference.

The BIOS of my laptop doesn't provide much options... It asked me to Load optimized defaults, so I pressed 'Y'. I'm not sure if that is resetting... Do I try a CMOS battery reset?

Yes, that resets the BIOS. But didn't solve the lag...
