Hey all! building new pc and was wondering if Noctua - NH-D15 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler will fit specs:
Intel - Core i7-7700K 4.2GHz Quad-Core Processor
Asus - PRIME Z270-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory
Fractal Design - Define C with Window ATX Mid Tower Case
EVGA - SuperNOVA P2 750W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
EVGA - GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11GB SC Black Edition Video Card
Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Samsung - 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Thanks in advance :)

Any reason why you aren't getting the 250GB Samsung 860 EVO NVMe M.2 SSD instead of the 850 EVO you have listed?

The M.2 drives are a lot faster.

And yes the NH D15 will fit in your case.

'' The motherboard M.2 slot #2 shares bandwidth with SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports. When the M.2 slot is populated, two SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports are disabled. '' pcpartpicker tells me this, should I change my motherboard?

Not if the M.2 Drive is in PCIe mode it doesn't.

The Samsung 960 EVO NVMe M.2 is a PCIe SSD.

I know because I have one in my machine and it's running in PCIe mode.

Many/most Z270 boards' M.2 slots will share BW or allow disabling of two out of six ports, your choice....

I imagine there are some that demand all 6 SATA ports, but, I was more than content to live without SATA ports 5 and 6 for all of the 3200 MB/sec read goodness from the 960 EVO...
