Your MB supports 4 x DIMM, Max. 32GB, DDR3 2133(O.C.)/1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz

Only choose O.C RAM if your Bios will allow for Primary Timing and Voltage changes in DIMM_Control and you have the expertise to make necessary changes in Bios.

Best bet is to consult the MB QVL and choose a single kit that have been tested.
Go here: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketAM3+/M5A97_R2.0/M5A97_R20-Memory-QVL.pdf

This list of RAM have been tested with your MB. Choose the frequency and size you require.

If you want a recommendation then 16GB CORSAIR (CMZ16GX3M4X1866C9R(Ver8.16)(XMP) 16GB ( 4x 4GB ) or CMZ16GX3M2A1866C9 (XMP) ( 2 x 8GB) if you can get them. Supported quite well with the FX series CPUs.

Hi again think ive made a mistake in the ram ordered i found some vengeance 8gb ddr3 1866mhz in argos but they wasnt advertised with the serial number cmz16gx3m2a1866c9 but i bought them anyway and now looking at the specs the latency is diffrent to the c9 ones you recomended i think the ones ive bought are c10 will this be a problem they arrive today so before i try them will they work or should i send them back please help :/

They should work so give them a try. If they don't work straight up and default to other than their rated frequency, correct Timings and Voltage, you can easily obtain their SPD to manually enter Primary Timings and Voltage in Bios.

CPUz will show your SPD and memory details.

If you have not changed DIMMs before, treat them like Precision Instruments. Ensure they are seated correctly and clamped well in nice clean sockets.
