Be Queit! Pure Rock. Temp issues

So i got a new cpu cooler it was the be quiet pure rock i installed it with thermal paste and it was hitting me 80c at some games paired with an i7 920. I bought new paste and applied it but i still have temp issues.... What could be wrong? Note. I cleaned the old cpu paste before applying the new one

im running it at stock speeds on an asus p6t se.. today i have some improvement i have been stressing it for an hour with msi kombustor and it has topped at 75c

The radiator is the metal thing above the CPU that radiates heat off using a large surface area. I call it a radiator.

the heatsink is just fine i have a konig thermal paste on it if i get artic silver 5 for example do i have a chance to see my temps down?
