Hey! Instead of me getting a Optiflex 780. Can a Optiflex 755 handle I5? And if not what's the maximum cpu that it can handle?

Solution
NO

Uses socket 775 which pre-dates the i3/i5/i7 series CPUs.

Best CPU it can handle depends on the motherboard in it, what its max tdp is, as well as what CPUs the bios supports.
Rule of thumb is it supports the best CPU dell released with it from the factory.

I can tell you that if you already have a core2duo then a core2quad wont make much fo a difference.
Its like upgrading from 12% to 16%

Well if you get the motherboard model (Labeled inside the case on the board itself) your able to google that and cross reference what CPU fits with the motherboard. IF it's LGA 1150 (older generation) will fit up to i7. I don't really remember what motherboard it is or the socket since I think Optiflex has multiple generations of that model.
