I will be sending my 7700k to be delidded soon since it runs very hot on stock and I've seen it hit 82c (Intel boost to 4.5ghz under load) and it is currently cooled by a Corsair H115i in a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv TG. I've read that it has bad airflow at the top where my radiator is currently mounted and my questions is, Should I keep it where it is or remount it to the front?

Another question I also have is that are the stock fans in the Enthoo Evolv PWM or not?

Any feedback is Appreciated.

Solution
Yes the case has bad airflow there in no denying that. What I know some do is swapping the stock fans in the front to "high end" static pressure fans since that seem to combat the restrictive intake some.

doesnt really matter where you put the radiator as long as the airflow configuration were correct, is there any kind of like thick filter that possibly block the airflow? based what i know that case have such bad airflow, but good aesthetic looks

Hi.

The fans you have are called: PH-F140SP ( they are not PWN since they are 3 - pin ) ( PWM are 4 - pin )
They are whats called Static Pressure fans and has no real problem with the radiator sitting in the top.

Now if you lets say have a Nvidia 1080ti in your case that is not a blower card ( exit heat out the back of the case ) but an open air cooler ( dumps all the heat into the case ) you are better off mounting the radiator in the front since it will then get the cold air to work with and not the hot in the case.

Yea I do have a open air 1070 which is one of the reasons I am considering mounting to the front.

Then I would mount it in the front myself. Keep in mind tho that you would most likely see alittle rise in CPU temps but nothing alarming. :)

But the best thing is ofc to test and see for yourself. Not mutch work with an AIO :)
Try it on top and look at temps, try it then in the front and look at temps on both the CPU and GPU.
The decide.

i think mounting radiator at at top and install another fan at front is better tho, so the radiator fan get fresh cold air from the fan at the back that pulling the air to inside the case and the graphics card hot air can be sucked by fan at the front of the case

So you are saying to reverse airflow in the case? Not a good idè since hot air rises with the rear fan sucking air in and the front fans pulling air out.. not optimal.

it is not the only way and the best way i know, it is possible to just mount the radiator at the top and fan at the back pushing out air and 3 fan at the front sucking air inside. but if im not wrong most people say that phanteks enthoo evolv have pretty bad airflow, especially there is dust filters that might possibly reduce airflow
