gtx 780
i5 2500k
gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3
16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3
650W XFX powersupply

so ive had this setup running perfectly fine with 2 monitors for about 3 years. turned my computer off last night and when to turn it on this morning and both monitors werent turning on or being detected. altho i could hear the computer signing on and loading up like everything was fine

so i took out my GPU before work and cleaned the crap out of it as there was a considerable amount of dust buildup, put it back in and voila both monitors light up and all is well.

fast forward to now and the same problem is arising. the GPU is on(fans are spinning) but it wont detect either monitor. im currently typing this using the onboard graphics. the GPU doesnt show up in my device manager.

GPU also isnt showing up in GPUz and im unable to install the latest nVidia driver because its telling me the hardware isnt compatible.

is my GPU burnt out?

im going to wait until my little brother is home from work and try swapping GPU to see if i can isolate the problem. until then is there anything else i could do to try and fix this issue or figure out exactly where the problem is coming from?

the only thing thats changed recently was i got a wacom tablet and have been using it for about 7 or 8 days before this happened.

any help would be appreciated
