Are these specs good for gaming

I am looking to build a new gaming pc and was wandering if these specs were any good

AMD - Athlon X4 870K 3.9GHz Quad-Core Processor
G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory
MSI - GeForce GT 1030 2GB LP OC Video Card

First it would not work ( FM+2 sockets supports ddr3 memory and not ddr4)
Generally Cpu is old technology and gpu isnt very good ( good for not heavy games like LoL and others)
