I bought a prebuilt computer about 8 months ago and got the extended warranty. but realized I wanted to get back into PC gaming. so I upgraded my psu and got a graphics card. After installing everything, I played a game. Then I looked at the temperature just to make sure. Well both cpu and gpu were at or around 185 degrees Fahrenheit. I was worried about that so I did another upgrade. Got a case. Only helped a little. Now running at about 155. I don't want to keep changing everything. I am thinking about doing one more upgrade. A new cpu upgrade. Will this help? What one should I get.

Before I started this mess it was a hp envy 750. I7 6700. 16gb ram. New psu is an EVGA 700w. Graphics card is pny gtx 1070. And the case is a diypc 480 I think.

Well, 68 degrees celsius on the GPU is pretty normal so nothing to worry about. 68 degrees celsius on the CPU can also be normal if you live in hot concitions, have a lower end cooler, bad ventliation and/or running the CPU with an overclock or higher voltages. I guess that your motherboards stock cpu-voltage are set little to high (if u haven´t changed it for yourself).

My 6700k laying around 58 degrees celsius on air when playing games and my GPU around 68-70 degrees celsius. That is after I lowered the stock cpu-voltage on my motherboard.
