I do picture editing on Affinity for Mac, but always send the exports over to my Windows PC afterward. I'm currently doing this using a USB flash drive, but I'd like a faster alternative. I have a Windows 10 PC (connected to the internet via ethernet, not Wi-Fi) and a MacBook Air (which is Wi-Fi but I also use a USB -> ethernet adapter). I read online that I can transfer files by connecting the 2 devices by an ethernet cable, but this doesn't seem to be working. Please can someone talk me through how to do this, or let me know if there are any better alternatives?
(Note: I've already tried cloud services, but its the whole upload/download thing I'm trying to avoid.

If the PC is connected to the internet by an ethernet cable, it should be connected to the same router that the Macbook Air is connected to, whether by wi-fi or your usb-ethernet adapter. Therefore, you could send the files over the network rather than transferring them via flash drive.

I've been following the tutorial here but when I have to type my Microsoft password in, I'm told its incorrect (I know it isn't).
