Myself, I'd go with the WD Black. I quit buying Seagate HDD Long time ago (Yes I did buy one recently). In general the WDs are slightly more reliable (Ref Newegg reviews on drives with over 100 Reviews - and Yes must take with a grain of salt). The WD Gold line is relatively New. Bought the 4 tb gold as My Seagate and HGST both died within 2 Years. NOTE: read an article that stated "NEVER buy a 3 tb drive, and Manuf"
Have to run.
Me I would go with the WD black, just from price standpoint. Not a big fan of Seagate, Seagates are more speed but crash more often where WD are slower and have longevity. I run all my games off a WD Red pro 6TB drive (1.2TB of steam games :D )

Can someone please clarify if this true or not but the Western Digital Black 2tb 7200rpm 2003FZEX Version in Australia looks different to the one in America is this true?

The one in Australia looks like this:

http://www.longtech.ca/goods-3296-cn.html

The one in America looks like this:

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/974153-REG/western_digital_wdbsla0020hnc_nrsn_2tb_internal_drive_for.html

Are they the same & do they perform the same like in Access Time & Read Write Speeds.

Hi Tony,

All major hard drive manufacturers are working hard to optimize performance as well as reliability with each new generation of drives. It is correct that each physical drive will fail at some point - however, if the right drive type is used in each scenario, modern hard drives usually last much longer than their minimum life time expectancy. We can say with certainty that our engineering team is working diligently to make sure that the drives that we put out are of the highest quality found in any market.

That being said, you could definitely buy either drive for "normal" computing such as storage and gaming. In case you are going with a Seagate, we would recommend picking the BarraCuda Pro over the BarraCuda for increased gaming performance!
