Hello there,
my friend got a new GPU(gtx 960) and since he doesn't have all the other parts yet,we decided to test it on my pc with the following specs:
Intel Core i5 2400s
GA-Z77-DS3H rev 1.1
Kingston HyperX Fury 8Gb 1866Mhz
Kingston SSDnow v300 128gb
GTX 660 2Gb

.So i shutdown my computer, swap the GPUs and then start it again. The fans spins for 15 seconds(something close),no image on the monitors, doesn't power my backlit keyboard(mouse does have power) and restarts and does the same thing over and over again.Plugged my GPU back and it still does the same.Tested with another motherboard and cpu that i have and it booted.

It's a little difficult for the motherboard or cpu to have been damaged doing basically nothing...
Many thanks!

Sounds like bios config gone nuts.
Recently had a friend, that tried a newer GPU on an old MB, did exactly the same thing.
For a start, reset BIOS, make sure u enable/set external gpu as primary and check for bios updates.
Happily you have dual bios, because there is a chance that the newest version might also crash/bootloop ur pc.
Be sure to check in internet the combination for your Backup BIOS activation.
Probably would be a combination of something like power on, remove power cord, hold power button and plug in while holding power button, something like that.
Check manuals/what ppl say.
Hope thats the only issue!

Edit: for second bios activation : http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-2855169/z77-d3h-boot-loop-problem.html
Sounds like it is a RAM issue. Do you have any other RAM you can test to see if it boots with another stick of RAM?

If you don't, then try taking out one of the RAM sticks (if you have two) to see if you can narrow down which stick could be defective.

Does it boot if you run it with integrated graphics?

Forgot to add it in the main thread, but i did try taking one ram stick out, changing slots, using the integrated graphics, removed the CMOS battery to reset the bios settings and it still does the same thing...

The new GPU was of a friends and i just wanted to try it for him to make sure it works and benchmark some games.I do not have it in my possession anymore, so i use my own GPU(GTX 660)
