PC Crashing to white/black screen 1 second into games

Hi, I've recently encountered a full computer crash whenever I load into a game, for example when I get into a League of Legends game in the first second of loading into the map my computer will loop the audio and crash to a white/black screen where I am forced to do to a hold down the power button to turn off the PC since I cannot alt+tab, ctrl+esc etc. I thought this was only for the one game but it also happens in Overwatch and PUBG and all of my other games.

I've tried a fresh reinstall of Windows 10 and also reinstalling and updating all of my drivers, I've disabled the xbox gamebar, I've cleaned out my PC of dust and even checked temps for GPU and CPU and they are running at normal temps. Disk and CPU usage is also normal. I have a feeling this could be PSU related but I'm not 100% sure since my computer works fine for browsing and fullscreen video playback.

PC Specs:

CPU: Intel core i3-6100
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050ti
RAM: 8GB DDR4
PSU: 500W
MOBO: MSI H110M PRO-VD

Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Thats a poor generic PSU for sure, you should go with something like Corsair, EVGA, CoolerMaster or even Seasonic, a 500W PSU from one of these brands with + 80 PLUS Bronze Certification are not expensive and will guarantee a better quality power supply for your components.. also just to check, try running a Temp monitoring Software and see if any of your components are Overheating like CPU and GPU for GPU try MSI Afterburner, for CPU try HWMonitor or RealTemp and post your temps here

My GPU is at 48 degrees min 49 degrees max, staying around 48 degrees most of the time and my CPU is at 31 degrees min 40 degrees max, staying around 35 degrees most of the time.

Those are idle temps, I'm not sure how to check game temps since I can't get past a second into a game without my whole pc going to a black or white screen.

To check in game temps you do the same thing, but if you don't have a second monitor / screen to check the software running in real time you could just let the game run on Windowed screen and put the monitoring software sided by the game screen, but since you can't even past a second in game something wrong is either happening with your hardware or system. You said you've reinstalled Windows and Drivers, are you installing your Display / Graphics driver from GForce Experience? If not you should use it instead of manually downloading it. Also do you have any better PSU to test instead of this one? So you wouldn't need to buy one straight without knowing for sure..

I have reinstalled my graphics drivers through geforce experience and I'm still getting the same problem, and this is my only PC, I haven't got another PSU to test unfortunately. I've also tried games in Windowed mode and the same problem still occurs.

Ok, let's do some more testing here, does your I3 Processor comes with Intel HD Graphics ? If it does, please try plugging the Video Cable to your motherboards display and switch to Intel HD Graphics instead of your GPU, try to test some light simple games that does not require a monster computer to run and see if it happens, if no white screen or black screen displays then I would say there's something wrong with your GPU since it's happening with every game you're trying to test...

When the crash happens I can still see my mouse cursor but I cannot alt tab or anything, the only way to do anything is to force reboot

Hmm thats weird, you said you cleaned your PC, could try removing your RAM sticks and cleaning with an eraser if you didn't do that already... there are videos on youtube you can watch that teaches on how to do it safely, sometimes BSODs and white screens are Memory Problems related, try cleaning your RAM Sticks and Ram slots as well then put them right back in and try it again. Also try to run MemTest86 (Software) to check if your RAM sticks are oK.

Well then your RAM is okay, now try running stress tests on your CPU and GPU and check if it's going to crash in any of those

For cpu use prime95:
http://www.mersenne.org/download/

For GPU gputest:
http://www.geeks3d.com/gputest/

And Theres

Unigine’s Valley stress test

https://benchmark.unigine.com/valley

Follow the tutorials so you won't have problems in testing, if you are not confident enough to run these tests then simply don't do it ok? Because in case of Prime95 while running a stress test on your CPU, your CPU temps will increase a lot, but beyond that in most of 99% cases it's safe enough to run stress tests on these softwares. If your computer crashes or turns it off while doing one of those you will probably find the reason of the crash.

I wasn't comfortable doing stress tests, I tried my friends PSU with my PC and it turns out it was my PSU that was the issue since his worked perfectly, I replaced the PSU and haven't ran into any more problems. Thank you for your help and time!
