Major steam problem! 3 Files stopping downloading!

Hey guys, I'm having problems with 3 files inside my download folder, they was stopping me from downloading on steam as it's giving me missing permissions errors, I have already sorted my permissions and completely took ownership of my seperate hardrive. When I click on the 3 files and go on the properties it's essentially saying it can't find the owner of them therefore I can't edit or delete them, my computer is fresh so I 100% have no virus' please help me :(

Random games, does it with a few, it's them 3 files that are the problem, I physically can't remove them. Yes I delete the content then retry and I get the same error.

Can't do that due to steam already being on that harddrive

When trying to delete the files.. did you try the files directly or also the folder in wich they are placed?
i would try deleting the 'dowloading' and see if it works that way.
You could however also do it with linux.
its actually very easy. all you have to do is create a live ubuntu usb/cd, boot it, and then you should be able to delete the files without any problems since linux shits all over windows permissions and ownership.

Yeah tried deleting the download folder, same thing, I can't even edit the permissions on the folder, I really want to avoid doing that though
