hey,

CPU: I5 6600K

Motherboard: Z170m e D3

i just upgraded my motherboard processor and ram, and my pc can't detect my Ethernet cable, but wireless connection works good. i downloaded all the drivers that was needed via the CD and also the newest one from realtek website, still nothing helped, i also tried several fixes from youtube/this site and couldn't find a fix. also the LAN is enabled on the bios, also replaced from windows 7 to windows 10 and same issue.

i used the Ethernet cable daily with my pc before but now its not working on the new motherboard.
not sure if its a problem on the motherboard [defective] or just some shit i really have no idea what to do. also both sides of the Cable [router and PC] Don't show any LED

please help if you have a fix for this thing since i kinda gave up.

Thanks for help and sorry about my English.

Well does your ethernet port have lights?
Have you tried with another ethernet cable?
Is there a way you can test if the ethernet cable is faulty?

If your router is working for sure, then the issue is in the ethernet port.
Are you sure your power supply gives enough power to the PC?

Have a Corsair VS550 Power supply for

i5 6600k

Z170m e D3

GTX 960

16GB ram

should be more than enough. so the motherboard is probably defective? unlucky me, should i just get a Ethernet card since its just 10$? thanks for the help though mate.
