Hey, Im planning on building a gaming pc soon, and am looking at the new generation of processors, thinking of which one to pair with a gtx 1060. Ive narrowed it down to the i5 7500 and the ryzen 5 1500x. I dont plan on overclocking as I wish to save some money by buying a h110 or a a320 motherboard. So the question, which one should I buy? The ryzen is 10e cheaper where Im shopping, so which one will give me better performance? Thanks for answering in advance.

Solution
Ill go for The Ryzen 1500x. It has 4 cores and 8 threads that's better future proof than the i5 4 cores and 4 threads plus games will start to require 6 cores instead of just 4, so those 8 Hyper-Threading cores will come handy.

That close enough or do I need to trim more off?

Its not that easy my friend :) PC part picker can tell you a price for shipping, but is it accurate? looked at only the bottom 2 produckts u sent me, the psu and the monitor. The monitor doesnt ship to ireland and the psu includes extra delivery costs to ireland :) finding sites that ship to ireland and have decent prices isnt easy

Well..he's given you a generalized parts list that is pretty close to your target price in euro.
Its now up to you to research and refine for buying and shipping to your particular market.

I would also strongly recommend going for the 1600 non-X instead of the 1500X. Much cheaper to pay ~$50 extra up-front than spending another $200 and being stuck with a ~$200 paperweight (used 1500X) two years from now.

Edit: Actually, the difference between the 1500X and 1600 is closer to 20 USD, which makes the 1500X even harder to recommend.

The thing is, i didnt ask for a parts list, as i made enough research into place where i can buy from and found the cheapest solution. From the name of the thread, you can tell im asking about the cpu, not the whole system, and explained that i will not be buying a board that will allow me to overclock and wanted to know which one will perform better. I thought i was quite clear on the question

"Ive narrowed it down to the i5 7500 and the ryzen 5 1500x"
" So the question, which one should I buy?"

A or B dictates changes in other parts.

Get the Ryzen 1600.

MERGED QUESTION
Question from Bartek_Shady101 : "Cheapest place to buy PC components (with delivery to Ireland)"

Hey, Im planning on building a gaming pc, but am having a problem with finding a store that has good prices and delivers to ireland. My best bet was mindfactory.de, but the <removed> stopped delivering outside of germany. Any other sites with decent prices?

Ok, thanks a lot. Although Im worried about about the poor nvidia drivers that people are talking about when it comes to pairing it up with the ryzen

Well Intel's platform still better optimized than AMD (you are correct)

I've had no issues running a Nvidia card with a Ryzen cpu.
I'd recommend you get a b350 mobo just because they're only slightly more expensive than a320 and allow overclocking in case you want to do it in future.
I can also see the 3gb vram becoming an issue in future games that require a lot of vram so i'd suggest you go for the 6gb variant. Another option would be rx 470/570 or rx 480/580 with either 4gb or 8gb, but their prices are so messed up right now that you'll likely find a gtx 1060 for cheaper.
