My xbox 360 doesn't read internal hard drive.

The problem is it doesn't read the internal hard drive but when I use the hard drive as external through usb it reads the hard drive and working fine.I am using a xbox 360 console.

I've manage to find two sites with your question related, not gonna type all in here cause there's a lot of steps to be taken, take a look at these two and see if it is of any help for you.

You could also try cleaning the contact points of your HDD just to check..
