So we are paying for 6mbs and currently get around 40kbs per second! Before windows 10 we would get around 300kbs. I can't even play csgo without over 100 ping or crashing mid game! I have no idea what is wrong with my internet but there is abviously something wrong. My internet provider is Frontier, which I know is bad but it was better before windows 10.

Hi there,

Firstly you should check if its your Network or your Hardware that's causing problem. If you have a spare PC be sure to connect to that and check if there is any difference ion network speed(use Speedtest for checking network speed)

Be sure to check if Win10 updates are downloading in the background as it is the most common problem related to internet speed(there is a way to restrict Win10 update by opting the metered connection through the Network properties).

Secondly scan you pc with Malware bytes to check if any nasty things are hogging through your internet.

It is also better to reset your router for clean and healthy connection.

Also be sure to check if any other application is not hogging through your bandwidth...

Other things that might affect your internet

Check with your ISP to see if there is any Network Disruption in your area.

Also if you're using wifi be sure to check if your are getting full signal or not.

Update Network drivers as sometimes old drivers bug out.

I know that it is our network because it still sucks even if you use you phone to connect. I haven't checked if windows 10 is updating in the background so how exactly do you check? Also do you have a recommendation of a malware detection? Thanks!

i would say go for bitdefender,Kaspersky.Just type update n cortana and open windows update to see if any update is downloading. Also there is one option in windows update that makes you a seeder of windows update.Don't forget to disable that as well
