so ive been mucking around for a few hours.... and i was wondering what ram Model ive got.. so i downloaded CPU-Z... and its displayed that my max bandwidth is only 800mhz.

Pc specs:
I5 4460 @ 3.2ghz
Crucial 1600mhz 8gb ddr3
H81m - p33
Geforce GTX 960 2GB
2TB HDD

I have looked at a few articles considering this topic, most have been for duel channel sticks, im only in single channel yet it says im running at 800mhz... i have also checked my BIOS and that says its running at 1600mhz. Though with games the memory seems very flimsy and my ram seems to max out much too easily, forcing me to put it on lower settings, even though the said minimum is 6gb... Also on my bios i seem to have limited settings on what i can do with my voltage and such.

Is this just CPU-Z fault or can i still increase my Ram frequency?

Solution
No CPU-Z is correct.
DDR stands for Double Data Rate.
So depending on how you do the math, the memory is running at 1600mhz combined, or only 800mhz individually.
CPU-Z is just not doubling it.
Sometimes you'll see GPU memory speeds in the 4000s because they quadruple the memory rate.

CPU-z report your RAM at single data rate, so 800mhz is really 1600mhz, DDR Doubloe Data Rate, so multiply whatever CPU-z says by 2 and you'll get your true speed, its not reporting wrong, its just reporting the base speed.

As for your games, if it says 6gb is the minimum specs, then 8gb is also pretty much the minimum specs, whats the recommended ? probably 16gb which is why you are bottlenecking plus the fact that you are loosing performance by just running single channel rather than dual channel.
