graphics card compatibility

So I'm planning on upgrading from my gtx 950 2gb to a gtx 1050ti 4gb on my prebuilt acer predator g3-710 pc. I just need to know that everything will work out, since I have never built or upgraded a pc. i say as long as ur current card is standard in size and everything is standard(not custom size to fit the case) i say it should work.
