Hello,

My graphics card recently burned out and I need a new one. After careful consideration, I have decided to buy this card:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M6Y671T/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

However, after researching my motherboard, I'm concerned that my specs might not be able to support the card well. Here are my motherboard specs:

I'm concerned about the slots. It states that I have a psi-e 2.0 slot. But as you can see in the motherboard description it doesn't say x16 after the 2.0 slot. Is a regular psi-e 2.0 slot capable of running the gtx 1050? I believe I have 9 gigs of ram (possibly more). My processor is an Intel Core i7 930 QC (2.8GHz, 8MB Cache).

Thank you!

In your link it says "2 x PCI-Express 2.0, PCI-e x16"

Pci-ex is backward compatible, so a 3.0 card works in a 2.9 board. What might be an issue is the motherboard bios. Some of these newer Nvidia cards require a UEFI bios be present on the motherboard in order to install correctly. If I were you I'd contact Gigabyte, via email or something, and ask if this model requires that. Your X58 is going to have the older style legacy bios.
