Pour wate- ok nvm bad idea...

There's not much you can do but try to keep the PC is cool of a place as possible, and if the CPU is overclocked then stop overclocking it until you can get a better cooler. May I ask how old the CPU is, and if it's the stock cooler you're using?

Cheapest easiest way is to take the side panel off, park a 24" or w/e box(house) fan beside it, and turn it on blowing air in to the side of the PC. Just put it on the slowest speed.
Sounds cheesy, but it works.

Look for gigantic dust bunnies while the side is off. Remove said bunnies with canned air.

Ya, I'd rule out the basics first.
Blow out any dust. Re-apply thermal paste (it's not that old but nice to rule out and feel good about it).
How are your fans positioned in the case?
What is your ambient room temperature?
What heatsink/fan or you using?
85c is pretty warm

Yes its the Stock "Cooler" or Heat Sink that comes with the Intel i7 4970k CPU, my tower is old its has 4 total fans on it 1 huge one on the back of it, Side is off of it and i do have a fan blowing on it now i had the fan pulling the heat out, The temp in the house is a good 70-75 degree's sometimes hotter depending on the day, it sits about 5 feet from the window, its a stock computer pretty much nothing major in it at all, i hope this was enough for everyone, i would have cooked a egg but ran out lol, there is one fan in the Rear, one on top, one up front, one on the side, its a very old case X-Navigator Silver Case in case you want to look it up, but mine is black and silver with blue lit fans, after i posted this its dropped to 40c after putting the house fan there so i will keep it there for now

Good good, the DIY methods may work best in a lot of cases  Try to get something more than that stock cooler as soon as you can, water cooled or not.
