I installed 8gb 1600 mhz ddr3 ram (2x4gb) to my asus m5a78l-m lx motherboard. How can i set the ram frequency (memory clock speed) to 1600 mhz?

In the image you see memory timming and voltage? When set to auto most of that is hidden. Set it manual like in the image and you should see the rest. Change memory clock speed to 800.
