Hello,

I'm looking to upgrade some parts in my PC and have went to PC part picker to do so. I chose the AMD FX-8350 CPU and the MSI - 970A GAMING PRO CARBON ATX AM3+/AM3 Motherboard. I noticed it said, "Some AMD 970 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vishera CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions." Will i still be okay to use these together?

Yes. That is a several year old note. But I wouldn't recommend purchasing an FX CPU today, if you haven't already done so. It is a dead end platform. Get a Ryzen if you want an AMD or get an Intel. You will be much happier.
