It should be "OK" to, though there's no particular need to if there's no problem you think it might solve or no new feature in an update that might let you do something better. There is a small risk of bricking the board if something goes wrong during the upgrade process (such as a power loss). Basically, if everything runs fine as is then there's no reason to update it.

Yes.

@Schitz recent BIOS updates for Skylake and Kaby Lake not only improve memory compatibility there was also a Hyperthreading bug that was recently addressed.
