I was looking to clean my PC when it was a little dirty but I found a strange part instead.

what is strange about a internal PC speaker

If you want a beep when the pc starts up correctly or a series of beeps when there is a problem then you need a speaker of some sort
Occasionally they are integrated onto the motherboard
also known as a pc buzzer or pc beeper

The speaker makes a sound to show that the pc is booting up or to show what something is wrong with the pc by making a specific series of beeping sounds,usually you will find the port for the speaker close to the front panel connections,you dont need it to be honest
