I bought a cyberpower pc with the professional wiring, one of my fans stopped working and I bought the replacement. Now, I can't take out the bad fan because I have to disconnect something I don't really understand. My question is if I can cut the cable directly connected to the fan then tape it up and leave it there inside my pc while I take out the bad fan.

But the end of the fan is connected between other two ends of cables. with four big pins.

But I'll be covering the tip with electrical tape.

And where are you going to plug new one in ? Fans are not soldered to anything, they have plugs at the end, the plug you can unplug and plug another one in it's place. You can also cut those wires from old fan and that should allow you to pull them out of cable bundle.

Thats the fan to remove (I need i need to clean the pc)

Thats how the cable goes in the back and ends in a three pin that is unplugged and a four big pin that is the white thing between the other cables.

The red and black cables foes in that white end of the fan and if a remove that the other cables get disconnected. I can't attach the black connectors.

Is it safe to cut or how I replace that fan. (the new fan only brings a 3 pin)
