Which is the second temperature of my SSD drive on my laptop,which HwInfo sensors show me?

Hi all,

I have a Lenovo Y-700-15ISK laptop with two storage devices:1 TB 5400'' WD Blue HDD, and a Samsung 128 GB SSD.

After the last update of HwInfo, the sensors show me a second temperatrure of the SSD drive!

What could be it?

It sometimes shows me temperatures up to 85 degrees Celsius!

Hang on let me get that Samsung support thing for you, and the safe temperature generally of hard drives should be around 45-50c and the hotter the temperatures the shorter the lifespan of drives. So your temperatures are pretty dang high. They should usually be in the 30's to 40's and can go up to 50 but anything past that is damn hot. If you go the to samsung website I believe that they have either live chats or phone lines that you can call to inquire about things such as that just explain that your SSD is getting very warm and they should know what to do.

It shows in the name, That second one if your samsung SSD and YIKES those look pretty high but keep in mind it is a laptop and they intend to get pretty "toasty". The top one looks to be your WD drive. I would shut down the lap top and leave it off for a bit, restart it and see what temp it averages and if it does that again I would get someone to check it out since those are pretty warm temps. So I am a desktop enthusiast but I have had my fair share working with laptops, I am not sure what a cooling pad is but I know that their is fan pads that have fans in a little cage type thing that can blow air under your laptop to cool it. Generally with laptops since they have everything crammed in so tightly with nothing to really cool them you can expect higher temperatures from it. Yes that is VERY HOT for the drive to reach so if theirs any computer stores in your city like a best buy get geek squad to check it out and see if its anything to do with the physical drive itself. Other then that I could give you the samsung support email for further help related to your hard drives temperatures but other then that, thats about it that I can tell you.

It has a total of 4 columns that show the different temperatures, the first is your current temperature, the second row is the coolest it has got, the third is the maximum it has reached, and the fourth is the Average temperature it has reached. It shows up at the top the different columns in the program that you use.

I meant which is the maximum safe operating second temperature of the SSD drive?
