I have a laptop a HP Pavilion g Series which is the g4. It has AMD Radeon HD 6470M Series, its fine until my "I.T." cousin reformatted my laptop. Instead of the AMD GPU being the ONLY gpu Intel HD 300 joins in. How the hell am I gonna fix this? The laptop is supposed to be a gaming, now its a POTATO. Help me. EDIT : What I mean in the Intel HD 3000 joins in it means I now have 2 instead of only one.

Solution

if your CPU is intel, it's normal to have 2 GPU at 1 laptop (1 discrete + 1 integrated from the CPU)

if you CPU is AMD, then u should try to uninstall the intel graphic driver instead, since ur IT cousin might install the intel driver too even though u don't need it

btw, what do you mean ur laptop turn into a potato? laptops aren't meant for gaming in the first place XD
if u want to play demanding games, just build a ~500$ Budget PC
that radeon HD 6470m u have won't cut it for AAA games these days (but if u only play games like CSGO, Dota, etc it should be enough)
