Which will perform better in gaming gigabyte gtx 1050 ti OR Sapphire r9 280x. Please help. Dont ignore this question.

I am really confused that which one of these GPUs will perform better in gaming. Gtx 1050ti is new but has only 128bits and on the other hand r9 has 384bits but it's quite old. Another thing which bothers me is that r9 has 3gb of memory and 1050ti has 4gb. My brain is really melting!!! My last hope is you guys. THE PROs. So please help me.

"bits" is not a measure of comparison between two GPUs. Thats related to the bandwidth within the card, and while it can be a comparison point between two otherwise identical or nearly identical cards, its meaningless here. Kind of like clock speed in processors between brands and generations.

The GTX 1050ti is faster, although not by a huge margin. If you're buying now get the 1050ti, if you already own a R9 280x, the 1050ti is not much of an upgrade.
