Hey guys, so my motherboard stopped working, and so since i had the I7 3770K (lga 1155, discontinued) with 16GB RAM 1600mhz DDR3, so i guess its the right time for an upgrade.

I have a budget of 300€ to 350€ tops, i read about the ryzen with the mobo supporting ddr4 RAM, would that be a good choie? What would you guys recommend in this range (thats basically the same or better than what i had)?

Thanks!

Hello, thanks for your answer, although that is in £, 355.26£ is about 400€ , prices here in Portugal are a tiny bit different...

Thank you
Best regards

That cpu and mobo hits 310€ here already, wont be enough for the ram tho... Let me just tell you it doesn't necessarily needs to be a ryzen, i just read about them and was curious..

then i would suggest this:
get a pentium g4560 on a b250 mobo like the asrock pro4 and get 2400mhz rams.
save up and then upgrade to a i7 7700 later. no point in upgrading to an i5 really. if that was the case, it will be worth it to spend some more and ryzen 5 combo.

It's a massive downgrade from the i7 3770k. So, either you save up some more, or you'll have to do with a temporary solution. Can't you borrow €50 from friends/family to get the Ryzen build... Anything else would just give you limitations or be a huge waste of money.

Yea, i already managed a solution to get the ryzen build! I'll get the 1600 as Lucky_SLS recommended. Btw is that the best RAMS and motherboard for the prices?

Thanks!

isnt the G4569 and 7700 two different motherboards? that would make for one expensive upgrade path vs a ryzen build.
