Hello everyone, so today something strange started happening with my computer, here are the specs:

Asrock Fatal1ty 990FX Killer
AMD FX-6300 ( 4.5Ghz 1.365v)
Corsair H100i v2
MSI Radeon R9 270X Gaming 2GB
G.Skill Ripjaws X 8GB 1600Mhz
Western Digital Blue 1TB
XFX TS 550W
Corsair Obsidian 450D

Whenever i start a game it runs fine for a few minutes but then the screen turns brownish with some strange vertical lines aross it and it just freezes. If i restart the system everything starts up fine. The gpu always ran on the factory overclock and i haven't made any changes regarding software or hardware in a long time. Any clue on what it could be? Thank you all

Graphical glitches are usually a sign your video card is going. It can also be a sign of issues with your PSU, so that's it's starving your gpu of power, when you're running it hard, producing similar effects as when gpu is dying. It could be issue with your monitor/cables.
If this system has been working fine for a long time, and you've changed absolutely nothing, then yes this is likely the reason, in order in which I listed by likelihood. Try installing something like HWMonitor and check where your temps on CPU/GPU and system are. Something like GPU-Z will give you an idea how hard your gpu is working when this happens.

Temps at this time of the year are kinda high but nothing overwhelming around 65c on the gpu and 43/45 on the cpu. Some strange random blackscreens for 1/2 sec while browsing windows or using an internet browser have been happening for a week or so but i never really made much out of it. Also when the screen turns brown i also loose whatever audio is on the background.

Hmm that ...if you're using your card's digital audio it isn't surprising I guess but the black screens on just browsing and reasonable temperatures would suggest something else.
Have you done any graphics drivers updates recently? Or more sneakily, has windows update replaced your graphics drivers by updating them without your input?

I haven't updated the drivers in a week or two, but today it developed other symptoms. As i turned the pc on it would boot all the way to the windows logo but as soon as it was going to the desktop it would freeze had to force restart and it wouldn't boot back up again first try. Booted in safe mode fine though, tried to disable all the startup programs and still had the same problem. Now it doesn't boot at all, the fans start but no video output. Already tried clearing CMOS, switched rams around nothing seems to work. At this point i'm ready to throw the thing out of my window lol

With such a rapid decline, my first thought would be PSU died pretty quick. Take it into the local store/repair shop and have them swap another psu in just to test. If that ends up being it, get a new one, something off of this list:http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html
Go for tier one or two, not lower.

I thought of that as well but today i decided to take the gpu out and the system seemed to boot up, mouse keyboard and headset led's come up which otherwise wouldn't. Inspecting the gpu's pcb backside closely i can see 3 wet stains right where capacitors are on the front side so i guess the gpu really decided to die, the biggest bummer is that the warranty for it just ended on jully 10. I guess it's time for a new gpu or i might as well upgrade the rest of the system. Just to be 100% sure i'll be testing the psu this weekend on my brothers in law system. Thanks a lot for all your help and time

Wet stains?? Before you invest in new components, make sure you first investigate how you got the wet stains (condensation, something spilled etc), as on an old but working card it's a bummer, on a brand new gpu it's a disaster.

It's not condensation or water, it looks like some sort of acid or oil almost because it looks wet but does not feel wet to the touch it's strange to explain
