I was hoping someone could send me some suggestions for upgrading my current setup. I will be building an intel cpu in the near future, but want to add to this pc for now. Please let me know how I can approve on it.

Thanks,

Solution
Get a good transition video card and SSD. I would suggest a 570 or 580 but they are sold out due to bit miners. The 1060 is about double the performance of the 9750. Its on par with the 1050ti so only good option is the 1060 6GB.

Solution
I would not put much money in this system, only parts that can be moved to a new system. The AM3 platform is dead and upgrading it would be throwing good money after bad.

I would look at getting a new video card. The 570/580 and 1060/1070 prices have been pretty high, but it seems the prices are starting to drop from the mining craze. The 1050ti and 1080 both have good prices right now, so they are good options. It just depends on how much money you want to spend.

You could also get a SSD. If you are moving to intel you may want a NVMe SSD which would not be compatible with your current rig. But standard SATA SSDs are still light years faster than your HDD.

for practically the same price as quoted, you could get a Ryzen 1600, an Asus B350 Prime Plus mobo, and 2.x 8gbs of Crucial 2400 ram. Add what you have parts wise to that, keep your 7950 till you have more cash, and then pop in a GTX1060 6gb/RX580, and have a pretty decent gaming rig for 1080p 60+ FPS for less costs than a new Intel PC. AMD have brought out some good chips recently and are worth consideration. Just another option.
