Hey there peoples, I have an old hp desktop pc with an hp MS-7826 (Kaili) motherboard running an i7 4770 and nvidia gt 640, I was wondering can I upgrade it with a zotac gtx 1050 ti oc edition? Or will there be problems with my super old motherboard
Ps there is an available PCI Express x16 (Gen 3.0)

Solution
I don't think that you will have one, hell even if it's an old motherboard it supports a 4770,it would be more worrying it we were talking second gen cpu's but i think the 1050ti would work fine

the pci express of the motherboard supports the 1050ti,You should update the bios ONLY when necessary ,heck i have a GTX 970 to a sandy bridge motherboard (2nd gen cpu)

There is a really high chance that i won't so i'd advice you to buy a new motherboard, the good thing is they are not so expensive. don't go for something premium. Just pick a motherboard with the same socket and a PCI Express slot 3 x16 (that's the slot where the gpu goes) please check what form factor your motheboard is and what form factors your pc case supports
