This problem only seem to happen (for the most part) after having the pc shut down all night. Once I come back the next day it will show the splash screen then the screen goes black and the monitor says no display detected. Then all I do is tap the reset button and it resets and goes to my login. My pc is 2 months old. Gpu is 1 month old. I reinstalled windows about 1 week ago and the problem started at that point. It never happened before. Specs below

i7 7700k
gtx 1080 asus strix
strix z270e gaming
corsair veng 16g 3200mhz (set to default in bios)
corsair h100i v2 cpu cooler.
corsair crystal 460 case.
all fans are plugged into commander mini (sp120)

I have tried disabling fast boot hoping that might be causing some issue. Did not help

My ram for 3 months was set to 3000mhz. After the wipe and the issue came about I put it back to default. This did not help

I just really don't know what to think here as it is not all the time. If i were to reset right now it might not even happen lol.

Once I am in my games run greater than ever at 1440p. I don't see any sign of it being my card?

Any ideas?

Solution
Reset BIOS to Optimized defaults and see what happens.

If it runs fine then enable XMP and see what happens.

If it starts happening again disable XMP.

If it still is happening remove the graphics card and plug the monitor into the onboard video.

Run it and see what happens.

Could be a Windows issue, if all else fails reinstall Windows.
