Now i got a fx-6300 and a gtx750 ti 2gb and im looking to upgrading the cpu and motherboard to a ryzen 5 1600 and a b350 or upgrading the gpu to a gtx 1060. I will mostly play pubg and other survival games.
Ps: in the end i will upgrade both but for now i only got money for one of them

Solution
Yeah, I would personally do the same thing: Upgrade the CPU (+MB and RAM) first.

The FX-6300 platform would be the hindrance in upgrading to more powerful GPUs. So, the Ryzen 5 (1600) + a B350 mobo + DDR4-3200MHz (2 x 8GB) would be my priority.

For the GPU, I'd also try to wait (while saving) for the next-gen GPUs (Vega or Volta) to be released before pulling the trigger on the GTX 1060. That way, you'd have better options to choose from, and in case you are not satisfied with next-gen GPUs, you can then get the 1060 at, hopefully, a much much lower price by then.

Upgrading one without the other is likely to give little performance gain. Your 6300 is a good pairing with the 750Ti so your current system is well balanced, any single upgrade will make it unbalanced. Personally I would keep saving until you can do both upgrades at the same time.
