Just purchased this board and an EK full cover block and have not picked a cpu yet...question is: do you think i would be doing this board an injustice pairing it with a ryzen 3 1200 and with a 1080 G1 and oc'ing on a custom ek hardline loop to the 4Ghz mark?. (note: not a hardcore gamer just general). and i already have the 1080 and Ek full cover block.

resolution: is my 2560 by 1080 on a LG 34" ultrawide

p.s: just trying to keeps costs down slightly.

If you have a GTX1080, I'd fight very hard for at *least* a 1500X, and preferably a 1600X...;

the new R3's do fine as budget cpus, keeping pace with 7400/7500 i5's, but, the R5-1600 nips at the heels of the 7700/7700k...; with a GTX1080, that's where I'd want to be....

4c/4t is not where I'd start a gaming rig, especially with such a nice GPU...

Aim higher....sell some plasma if necessary! :)
