Need help reducing thermal output of cpu

I have a i5 4690 with a stock intel cooler and when i game it sits at 99C im open to suggestions to make it as low as it possibly can while maintaining decent game performance.
P.S. i have replaced the stock thermal paste with new thermal paste.

Its not possible to reduce the temps with intel stock cooler try some other cooler within ur budget .

I'd be researching an AIO solution, or, one of Noctua's coolers...

99C is ridiculous for an i5 with Intel cooler, ...unless in 40c ambient...

May be u can try down clock yo 3ghz but I may cause lags or low fps which in case you can't utilize its full potential

Need to work out why its so hot, the stock cooler should keep that cpu under 80c.

What is the temperature when just at Windows desktop (idle)?

Might also double check that core voltage is set to auto, and not to some setting about +.15V too high....

Mine does unless I run a stress a test on it. It might struggle if the ambient temperature was high but generally they are adequate for normal use including gaming on a stock i5.
