I had been able to connect to the internet fine, and suddenly one day it stopped, even though no changes had been made to the hardware or software.
When I check the device manager, there's nothing listed under Network Adapter other then some WAN miniports, and theres no adapter available in the network center either.
I have tried to reinstall the drivers and it give a Realtek Controller not Found error, plug in cable if in deep sleep.
I've tried disabling and enabling the lan controller in the BIOS, as well as resetting to default setting, system restoring to before the issue (which always fails), reinstalling drivers, and going into the registry to see the adapter (wasn't there).
My motherboard is an Msi B75MA-P45.
I'm using Windows 10.
I think it could be the NIC, but I have no idea where it is or how to see if it's fried or broken.
Any fixes, or just replace the NIC?
Also does brand and pricing matter when it comes to NIC's?
