I recently bought an used Q9400 cpu from ebay. However on receiving the product,i examined it and found that 2 of the SMDs underneath the cpu are slightly bent(please check the image at the given link)

In a normal Q9400 cpu,all the tiny components(ie SMDs)under the cpu are usually aligned perfectly straight and they are not supposed to be bent or skewed in any way.So is there a possibility that this cpu might be damaged or defective?

Is there any chance that the cpu might still work even though some of its onboard components are bent?Would it be a good idea to get it replaced? Please advice.

I'd not expect to see anything misaligned like that, but, it might work fine; given a choice, I'd likely choose one without such an issue, unless from a very trusted seller with return policy...
