I've seen similar kind of question posted many times but nothing quite fits the bill of my problem. I have a Radeon R7 265 with 2 GB memory.
I've been having this problem for quite a while now. Sometimes when I restart, the pc will not detect the gpu and instead run on intel graphics. When using VGA and operating the computer, device manager shows I have no GPU installed. Also AMD Radeon settings say that GPU is not present. It then randomly works again, but after a few days the problem would show its face again. What can I do and what are the possible causes?

Appreciate your help.

(Sorry for the bad english)

I'd say remove the card & clean out the PCI-E slot with a toothbrush+alcohol(90%). Clean the contacts on the card as well. Other then that, try updating the BIOS. If neither works, try another video card(if you have access to one). Otherwise, it could be a problem with the motherboard.
