TL; DR
From: Core i3-530 + nV 7600GS
To: Xeon >=X3430 + AMD Radeon HD5450 LP
Used for: development, emulating, OGL, Linux environment, maybe OCL

I have quite an aged PC with LGA1156 socket. I bought it with the worst available i3-530, which is now worth $10 on eBay (if not less). I also have nVidia 7600GS (this one is a total nightmare, I bought it only because it had 2xDVI and PCI-e).
I found some cheap ($30) Xeons on eBay and Ali which fit LGA1156.
I consider combining it with Radeon HD5450 LP or in worse case HD2400 LP.
I usually work on Linux and use PC for development, emulating Android, OpenGL, maybe OpenCL if this card really supports it (amd.com says it does).

Is it worth the upgrade with mentioned CPU and card? Question primarily about CPU.

Solution
It is good upgrade, but check if your motherboard supports Xeon processors, because not all motherboards supports Xeon processors. HD 5450 is much better than 7600 GS, but you shouldn't buy it for more than 25 bucks, because it isn't worth more money.
