Unsolvable computer problems.

I have been having computer problems for about three months now. I used to be able to play Overwatch on Ultra settings getting around 100 or so FPS. Then one day when I was playing OW I had a case fan die on me and then after that I have had FPS issues with any game I try to play, with OW going down into the 20's even on low settings. This is the current specs of my computer https://pcpartpicker.com/list/LbCkKZ.

Whenever I originally received my 1060 I tested my computer on 3D mark and I got this score http://www.3dmark.com/sd/4465773. Now this is my most recent score I got whenever I tested my computer again http://www.3dmark.com/sd/4721021 after I bought a new mobo whenever my computer started messing up. I got around the same score with my previous mobo also. I tried switching to my old 270x to see if it would help and it did not http://www.3dmark.com/sd/4720984. I also tried my old i3-4130 with no success in it helping either.

I've tried everything suggested in this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/63hdvh/extremely_low_fps_on_a_good_build/ with no luck and I am really hoping to get some help here now. I really miss having a well working computer..

Solution
You might try a clean install of Windows just to make sure all the drivers are cleaned out etc.

Also, run a test on your hard drive to make sure it's not failing either.

I like using a free program that can be found here.

PC Part Picker shows that my build should only be running at 303W. Is that not to be trusted? Because I was under the assumption that my current PSU was just fine.

On PSUs it's more the quality of the construction of the power supply than it is about the wattage output. ~300W sounds about right for your rig. But that said your current PSU most likely has a bad capacitor that is causing the GPU or other components to shut down. That's what will most likely need to be replaced, and it should be with a quality supply. The EVGA B series are not good units.

I switched out my PSU for my friends PSU and it showed no results either. It was the same expect PSU as my current one, but that should show it's not a capacitor at least causing the problems afaik.

So it's not the PSU then. Have you tried updating your GPU drivers to see if that's the problem? Or have you tried updating your motherboard's BIOS yet?

I have updated my GPU drivers with no luck, but how would I go about doing my mobo bios?

If you have a flash drive, download the file from the manufacturer's website and copy it to a USB flash drive, reboot your computer, go into the BIOS and update it that way. Do *NOT* use the Windows BIOS update program.
