I have two sticks of 4 GB DDR2 800MH 1.8V ram, but the motherboard only recognizes 4 gb of it. I have tried it with one stick out and it only reads 2gb ram also. I have updated the bios, and did a full CMOS reset with no success. I have the motherboard configured to set the ram voltage to 1.8 and the frequency to 800 and it did not change the outcome. The specs for this motherboard state that it can support up to 8gb of ddr2 800 ram so it has me really confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have tried everything I know of to attempt to fix it

What is your other computer? The Asus P5QPL-AM may not like the 256M x 4 FBGA components. As an example, this probably compatible kit https://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/KVR800D2N6_2G.pdf uses 128M x 8 FBGA components.
