I accidentally deleted, formatted and partitioned my 4TB external HDD which has all my backups, movies, photos, songs, everything upset

What happened is i was creating a new windows 10 installation usb using the mediacreation tool supplied by the microsoft to install windows on a home PC for my friend. I accidentally selected the wrong drive which is my 4TB backup drive. The tool formatted and partitioned the drive to a bootable partition and two unallocated partition (Disk 1). Is there any possibility to get my data back? I have the disk3 as a spare to restore the data is possible, i have tried a few tools but nothing helps so far.

If I were you, I'd give the demo version of R-Studio a try and see if it's able to identify the data. Just be sure to let it scan to at least the 60% point or so, even if drive isn't very full. NTFS stores indexing in the middle of the partition which R-Studio can use to rebuild file/folder structure. Not much of any other software can do this to my knowledge.

The program isn't free, you'll have to buy it to actually recover the data. But, it's a nice versatile tool to have in your toolbox regardless. Even having software here costing several thousand dollars, I still use R-Studio almost daily.
