I am rubbish at overclocking and would like to know what voltage other people are using to get an i7 7700k to 5.0ghz ( I know every chip is different. I just want a ruff range of what others use.) Also how far have others overclocked there hyperX fury 2133mhz.

Solution
Well... there is your problem... You have to delid the cpu, and swap out the stock crappy thermal paste that intel uses. I to had really high temps on my 7700k and that is why I delided the cpu. Leaving stock thermal grease between the cpu die and heatspreader while using liquid metal between the heatspreader and waterblock makes no sence.

Delid the cpu and put liquid metal on the cpu die for better heat transfer to the heatspreader. Then use normal paste (that is what I am using) between the heatspreader and the waterblock.

Free tip:
If you delid and swap the stock TIM with liquid metal. There is almost no thermal gain to also run liquid metal between the heatspread and waterblock over lets say KRYONAUT (thats what I am using.)
Maybe...

A lot less than me then. To get it to 5 I have to use 1.37. I have a dellided one and get 83 degrees on test what is you temps like under load.

Mine is also delided and I use Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut.
After one hour of stress test in aida64 I get a max temp of 59 - 60 degrees celcius on all cores @5GHz.
Keep in mind however that I am using an overkill custom water loop to cool it. I want my system to stay as silent as possible.

Normal use like gaming etc, I stay around 45 - 57 degree celcius.

I also use a custom loop and conductanaut between the cpu and block. I don't know what is used inside as I didn't delid it.

Maybe you gain 2-3 degree`s with going with LM over TIM there. But on the cpu die... LM all day long.
