Hi all,
So I'm thinking about getting a new video card and decided on the ASUS Geforce GTX 1060 Dual OC 6GB. As my computer is slightly old (~5 years) I'm a little bit uncertain whether or not it can meet the ASUS cards' power needs though.
I have a Corsair TX650v2 feeding the system, currently with no problems. the rest of the system is as follows:
Asus - P8Z68-V LX ATX
Intel i5-2500K 3.3GHz
GTX 570
8GB RAM
1 HDD
1 SSD
Should this be OK, or do I need to look at something more powerful to feed the new card what it needs?
As a side note, I notice the ASUS GTX1060 card only seeems to need 1 x 6pin connector whereas my current GTX570 uses 2 x 6pin. Would this be an indicator that the newer card uses less power, or is this completely unrelated?
Thanks in advance for your help folks.
