Hi guys,
Im looking at buying a new CPU cooler for my ryzen build and i was looking at this one: http://amzn.to/2uVfR80

I havent heard of it before but i like it better than the 212 hyper from CM as it has a black bit on the top.

I just want to know if its on par or better than the 212.

Also i want to know if it has to be mounted vertically (fans blowing air up) as apparently most AM4 adapters have to be used vertically with b350 etc mobo's.

Would love to know your thoughts.
Cheers

Nowhere near as good an an evo mate.

As said arguably with the ryzen 1500x & 1600 you don't need an aftermarket cooler even to push a decent overclock.

The 1700 is fine at stock , you do need a beefy cooler to overclock it.
The same with the 1400.

Where can you can from & what's your budget ??
There are a myriad of choices of black topped coolers that are better than both of those you mentioned.

The cryorig h7 for one

Im getting a r5 1600.
Im after a decent looking CPU cooler and was looking at the dark rock 3 for a while but i have high profile memory and it wont fit because it covers a ram slot due to it having to be mounted vertically with new AM4 bracket.
